Environmentally friendly adhesive tape: biodegradable and compostable
With the environmentally friendly adhesive tape monta biopack® 860 we have an eco-adhesive tape in our assortment which demonstrably fulfils all requirements regarding biodegradability, ecotoxicity, compostability as well as the material properties which are laid down in the relevant standards and guidelines. These are ASTM D 6004-04, AS 4736 (2006), EN 13432 and ISO 17088 (2012). The product has been certified by TÜV Austria with the title "OK compost INDUSTRIAL". Only products and packaging that are guaranteed biodegradable in an industrial composting plant receive this award. Each product with this logo meets the requirements of the EU Packaging Directive (94/62/EC).

What are the application areas of the monta biopack® 860?
Due to its many advantages as well as its technical properties (see table above), the eco-adhesive tape monta biopack® 860 is ideally suited for a variety of applications. For example, as a secure closure for biodegradable films, bags and other sustainable packaging or for bundling flowers and garden waste. The environmentally friendly adhesive tape also cuts a fine figure as a packing tape that reliably seals medium to heavy cardboard boxes. In addition, it is ideal for machine packaging with table or hand dispensers as well as in automatic packaging machines.
The most important properties of the eco-adhesive tape monta biopack® 860
With this sustainable self-adhesive tape you have a packaging solution with an absolutely stable carrier material on your hand. Nevertheless it is possible to tear off the monta biopack® 860 by hand. It offers excellent immediate adhesion and adheres reliably to a variety of surfaces - even if they are particularly smooth or for other reasons place special demands on the adhesive tape used. The tape can be easily unrolled and has a short-term temperature resistance of -30 to +70 °C. After processing, the best possible adhesive strength is achieved at room temperature.

The first certified sustainable self-adhesive tape from Germany
With biopack®, manufacturer monta is responding to the growing calls - both from the market and from consumers - for more climate protection and sustainability. The product is in fact the first certified sustainable self-adhesive tape manufactured in Germany. It consists of a bio-based film coated with a special adhesive based on natural rubber. This means that the eco-adhesive tape consists of around 90 % regenerative raw materials. In addition, it is fully biodegradable. With this ecological variant, you do not have to make any compromises in terms of quality: even with a single-layer application, cardboard boxes are reliably sealed.
